Black Leadership Conference

Primary tabs

The African American Student Union (AASU) at Georgia Tech is proud to announce Dr. Steve Perry, CNN education contributor, as the keynote speaker for the Eighth Annual Black Leadership Conference (BLC). This year's theme is Project Pendulum: Giving Back and Moving Forward. Dr. Randal Pinkett, author of "Black Faces in White Places," will also speak.

The Georgia Tech BLC is an annual event hosted by the AASU to promote leadership and diversity in professional and community life. The conference will be comprised of 10 thought-provoking workshops, four dynamic speakers, three catered meals and a career fair.

Since it began in 2004, the BLC has helped to host  prominent and prolific speakers including former Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin, Dr. Maya Angelou, President Barack Obama, and, most recently, Dr. Cornel West.

A full schedule of the weekend's events is available online; register online at gtblc.org, or contact GT AASU for more information.
