GTDA Social Swing Dance: 'Silver' 25th Anniversary Dance

All of Georgia Tech is invited to swing dance with us on April 27 at 7:15 p.m. to celebrate the 25th anniversary of social dances on campus!

If you want to…

  • Learn to swing dance;
  • Brush up on old swing skills;
  • Meet fun new people; or
  • Gain a new skill to impress.

Then Saturday is your chance! Come to the Klaus Atrium at 7:15 PM for a beginner lesson from pro swing dancers; they’ll teach you everything you need to know for the night. We teach you to dance so you can have loads of fun with friends old and new.

What is Swing Dancing?

Great question. Swing dancing is a social partner dance. Keyword: social. Our club doesn’t compete nor perform – we’re focused on creating a space for GT to have fun and meet each other through dance. Here’s a video of GTDA dancing!

Where is the dance?

The main atrium of Klaus.

When is the dance?

Saturday, April 27th at 7:15 PM. The beginner lesson ends at 8:00 PM, when the social dance begins. The event ends at 11:00 PM.

How much is the dance?

Admission (including the lesson) is $10 for current students, faculty, and staff and $15 for all other friends. Student members of GTDA dance free.
