Description: This talk delves into how we can use principles from natural systems to improve the sustainability and resilience of human ones.

Bio: Marc Weissburg, with a Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the State University of New York, Stony Brook, currently directs the Center for Biologically Inspired Design at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He holds the title of a Brook Byers Professor within the School of Biological Sciences. Weissburg's research encompasses chemical ecology, sensory ecology, community ecology, and biologically inspired design. He leverages biological principles to enhance human technology and processes and is recognized for his innovative teaching methods across various education levels.
